Weather channels are warning some in Texas may be caught in their cars by Katrina as pace of evacuation is slowing northbound (now a 24 hour drive to Dallas). Others may be stranded in their cars which may block the evacuation route due to lack of available fuel. The pace is now 2 MPH in many parts of the three roads northbound out of Houston! The storm is moving at a much faster pace towards them. History indicates Rita could spawn up to a thousand tornadoes as it moves inland. This is bad news for any one stuck in a car.
