Legislative study: MBTA not ready for potential terror attack BOSTON A legislative report set to be released in the next few weeks says the M-B-T-A's communication system is still not fully prepared to deal with a terror attack. An examination by the Legislature's Public Safety Committee finds that emergency personnel would have spotty underground communication in subway tunnels and be unable to speak directly to incident commanders. M-B-T-A General Manager Dan Grabauskas tells the Boston Herald that the agency is earmarking 18 (m) million dollars to upgrade underground communications equipment. The report was commissioned after last summer's deadly attacks in London that killed 52 people on the city's transportation system. http://www.eyewitnessnewstv.com/Global/story.asp?S=5311427 <http://www.eyewitnessnewstv.com/Global/story.asp?S=5311427&nav=F2DO> &nav=F2DO
