Future denies Hizbullah accusation against Hariri December 13, 2006 The Future Movement lashed out at Hizbullah official Hajj Hussein Khalil on Tuesday, accusing him of having issued false statements about Future MP and parliamentary majority leader Saad Hariri's position toward the resistance. During an interview on Monday with Al-Manar television channel, the member of Hizbullah's political bureau said that during the July-August war with Israel, Hariri asked Nasrallah in a letter to "disarm so the Israelis end the war." In a statement, the Future Movement denied Khalil's claims, saying that his statements "fall within accusations of treachery that will not achieve their goal and harm the reputation of true Lebanese national figures." The movement also called on Prime Minister Fouad Siniora to submit an official request to the Arab League to conduct an investigation into the war. +++ -------------------------- Want to discuss this topic?
