Speaker calls for vigilance of world of Islam to stop US plots

Majlis Speaker Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel here Sunday said that the enemies
intend to undermine the resistance of Islamic Ummah all over the world of
Islam and underlined that Muslims' vigilance will prevent the
materialization of US plots in the region. 

According to a report released by Majlis Media Department, he made the
remark in a meeting with the outgoing Lebanese Ambassador to Tehran Adnan
Mansour. 

Turning to Iran's status and Middle East role in international equations as
well as the US attempts to strengthen its hegemony over the world of Islam
at the turn of the new century, he noted that following implementation of
British policies in the beginning of the 20th century, US officials are
determined to continue such hegemony. 

"Regional developments indicate US political failure in the world of Islam,"
he added. 

Elsewhere in his remarks, he lauded the resistance of Lebanese people and
Lebanon's Islamic Resistance during the Zionist regime's 33-day savage
aggression against the country. 

He referred to the Hizbollah Secretary General Seyed Hassan Nasrollah as the
world's most courageous man and said that he managed to resist the world's
most savage and ruthless army and defeat them. 

Haddad-Adel pointed to developments in the Middle East and Lebanon in recent
years as historical and decisive events, saying that after being defeated in
the war, the enemy launched a more extensive war on the political scene. 

Stating that people's vigilance and political developments in Lebanon are
the most important guarantee for the country's success and victory in the
new era, he expressed confidence that its people and Islamic resistance will
turn out to be victorious. 

The speaker referred to historical and spiritual relations between the two
nations of Iran and Lebanon and underlined that Iran will always stand next
to Lebanese nation in facing difficulties and confronting the enemies
threats and aggressions. 

He appreciated the sincere efforts of the Lebanese official during his
mission in Tehran towards strengthening of friendly ties between the two
countries. 

For his part, Mansour underlined his country's policy on further
strengthening of friendly bonds with Iran. 

The Lebanese diplomat referred to the historical and cultural commonalties
between the two sides and thanked Iran's support for his country. 

Mansour pointed to the recent developments in the region, saying that the
two nation have a common destiny.
