Islamic students arrested following suicide bomb blast... Dec 21 2007 8:31AM Associated Press Islamic students arrested following suicide bomb blast SHERPAO, Pakistan (AP) Police officials in Pakistan say security officers have arrested seven students during a raid on an Islamic school near the site of a suicide attack that's left at least 50 dead today. The officials aren't saying if the arrests are connected to the bombing. A bomber blew up an explosive packed with nails and ball bearings at a mosque on the residential compound of a former Pakistan interior minister during prayers for an Islamic holy day. The politician had been the target of the attack. He escaped unhurt but his son is one of more than 100 wounded. A bulldozer has been brought in to dig graves for the dead next to the mosque. The former interior minister is a candidate in January's parliamentary elections. He was slightly wounded in another suicide attack in April.
