Tight security for BB's rally Kaswar Klasra RAWALPINDI: Following reports by intelligence agencies about possible terror attacks on Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Chairperson Benazir Bhutto, the district police have finalised a foolproof security plan for a public rally to be addressed by Ms Bhutto at Liaquat Bagh Thursday (today). "The district police have devised a foolproof security plan for the PPP chairperson," Rawalpindi City Police Chief Saud Aziz said Wednesday. Surveillance cameras have been installed at almost all the main entrances in Rawalpindi, he said, adding that up to 4,000 police personnel and commandos were deployed at various places in the city. After declaring surrounding areas of Liaquat Bagh sensitive, security personnel conducted vehicle checks late into Wednesday night. Ms Bhutto will address a public gathering on Thursday (today) at Liaquat Bagh in Rawalpindi. Apart from the security being provided by the district management, personal security of Ms Bhutto had been put on high alert, sources from PPP said. Online adds: Talking to reporters, SP (Traffic) Matloob Ahmed Awan said a traffic plan had been finalised for a PPP rally at Liaquat Bagh.
