Durmush was a leader of the umbrella Popular Resistance Committees and a member of the Gazan Durmush clan which is allied to al Qaeda. The two suicide bombers who attacked a shopping center in the southern Israeli town of Dimona Monday, Feb. 4, were identified at a Fatah-al Aqsa Brigades news conference in Gaza as Mussa Mahmoud Arafat, 22, from Absan, Gaza Strip, a member of the Popular Front, and Louis Lahuani, 24, from Sabra district, Gaza City, member of the Aqsa Brigades. Both crossed Egyptian territory to reach Dimona from the Gaza Strip. The Fatah spokesmen named their suicide mission: "Assuring the Faithful", which recalls Hizballah's name for the 2006 Lebanon War: "Assurance for the Faithful", indicating their links with Hizballah. Israeli security units are scouring the South for more Palestinian suicide bombers after the dual attack in Dimona Monday. The counter-terror authorities fear that the attack by a pair of suicide bombers in the southern Israel town, which left an Israeli woman dead and 38 people injured, augurs a wave of bombings by more Palestinian infiltrators from Sinai. The toll would have been much higher if the second bomber had not been shot dead by a police officer before he could detonate. Similar terrorist teams are believed to be in hiding with collaborators in southern Israel, ready to spring into action after the success of their first expedition. According to the initial findings, the pair of suicide killers entered Dimona and reached its shopping center on foot, not by car. Their local guides are believed to have led them from the Egyptian border to a hideout somewhere in the Negev and then on to their target, Dimona.
