India: Bombs cause havoc in Bangalore http://www.adnkronos.com/AKI/English/Security/?id=1.0.2366062737 Bangalore, 25 July (AKI) - The southern Indian city of Bangalore was hit by nine explosions on Friday. According to the Press Trust of India, nine synchronised low intensity bomb blasts rocked the city during the busy lunch hour, leaving two killed and injuring 12 others spreading terror. The report said crude bombs concealed near refugee camps, a drain and a bus shelter stuffed with nuts and bolts, exploded at several locations and another explosion occurred later in the evening. Home Minister Shivraj Patil said in New Delhi two people were killed and up to 15 others were injured in the blasts. Bomb squads rushed to the blast sites and emergency services began ferrying the injured to local hospitals. A security alert was immediately declared in the city and other parts of country. The explosions took place within minutes of each other and are reported to have occurred in crowded areas of Bangalore, India's information technology hub. Bangalore's police commissioner Shankar Bidari was quoted on PTI as saying that the blasts were the "act of miscreants" trying to disturb peace in Bangalore. Schools and cinemas across Bangalore were closed following the explosions and police cordoned off the areas where the blasts took place. Rather, "fair use" is determined by the overall extent to which the cited work does or does not substantially satisfy the criteria in their totality.
