This has always been the MI5 position...can't get out of the past...also
demonstrates how truly clueless the UK police are about dealing with Islam
and al-Qaeda.

MI5: Irish terrorists bigger menace than al Qaida
DAVID YOUNG
MI5 surveillance has indicated that dissident republican organisations
currently pose a greater danger than Islamic extremists, according to The
Guardian.
More than 60% of all electronic information intercepted through wire taps
and other covert operations related to groups like the Real IRA and the
Continuity IRA, sources told the paper.
Dissidents have claimed responsibility for murder bids on five police
officers in Northern Ireland since November.
Security sources told the Guardian that:
l 80 hardcore dissidents may be plotting terrorist attacks.
l The Real IRA and Continuity IRA's short-term goal is to murder a Catholic
police officer in the hope of deterring other young Catholics and
nationalists from joining the Police Service of Northern Ireland.
l Dissidents' targets have also recently extended to prison officers.
l Police numbers are so stretched that officers with anti-terrorist
experience are being transferred from Greater Belfast - once the crucible of
the Troubles - to rural areas.
DUP minister in the Stormont Executive and former Northern Ireland Policing
Board member Jeffrey Donaldson said police resources had to be targeted at
the groups.
"This information comes as no surprise to me as I'm aware of the very high
level of activity that there is at the minute from dissident republicans,"
said the Lagan Valley MP.

"Fair Use" criteria established in Section 107 of the Copyright Act of 1976.
The principle of "Fair Use" was established as law by Section 107 of The
Copyright Act of 1976. "Fair Use" legally eliminates the need to obtain
permission or pay royalties for the use of previously copyrighted materials
if the purposes of display include "criticism, comment, news reporting,
teaching, scholarship, and research." Section 107 establishes four criteria
for determining whether the use of a work in any particular case qualifies
as a "fair use". A work used does not necessarily have to satisfy all four
criteria to qualify as an instance of "fair use". Rather, "fair use" is
determined by the overall extent to which the cited work does or does not
substantially satisfy the criteria in their totality. If you wish to use
copyrighted material for purposes of your own that go beyond 'fair use,' you
must obtain permission from the copyright owner. For more information go to:
