Iranian Qaem submarine comes on-stream

TEHRAN, Aug. 25 (ISNA)-Iranian Qaem submarine came on-stream in the
marine industry organization of Iran’s defense ministry.

The new indigenous submarine is able to carry and launch various types
of torpedo, undersea missiles as well as special operation forces.

The defense ministry with this approach has made an enormous investment
inline with self-reliance in marine industry in order to equip its armed
forces with the most advanced undersea weapons, said the defense
minister Brigadier General Mustafa Mohammad Najjar while inaugurating
the production line of Qaem submarine.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran with its mighty presence in the Persian
Gulf and Oman Sea is the biggest patron and watchdog of peace and
security in this strategic region,” he said.

Powerful and highly-motivated defense ministry of Iran defends the
security of the strategic Hormuz Straight and regards its security
significant to all regional countries.

Calling the biggest hazard of the Persian Gulf security the “presence of
cross-regional forces” Najjar added that the foreigners’ evacuation
prepares the ground for creation of a stable security in the region.

The regional countries are capable enough to establish peace and
permanent security, he noted and emphasized that the region’s unity and
cooperation foil the enemies plan for dividing the nations and ruling them.
