Saturday, January 17, 2009 CNN HITS NEW ANTI- SEMITIC LOW, KEEPS DIGGING Mark wrote and wanted to call my attention to CNN's review of the movie "Defiance". <http://edition.cnn.com/2009/SHOWBIZ/Movies/01/16/review.defiance/> It includes the following "wonderful" passage: The timing is unfortunate. For a story that has gone neglected for the best part of 60 years, this is hardly the ideal week to be extolling heroic Jewish resistance fighters. Ari Folman's angst-laden nonfiction animated film, "Waltz With Bashir," is altogether more relevant. Of course, why bring the inconveniently defiant Jews to light... We like our Jews as dead martyrs or self-doubting (or self-hating) neurotics... CNN, the Crescent News network, just hit a new low. BTW, go see Defiance, it is a rare thing to come out of Follywood, a good film.
