THE ISSUE: Iran's apparent development of nuclear weapons and how the US has
reacted.

* The editorial "Fiddling as Iran Goes Nuclear" (Oct. 27) has a
bone-chilling effect.

Besides the fact that Iran will likely soon have a nuclear weapon, what
strikes fear in my heart is your assertion that the Obama administration
"now considers Iran a fellow nuclear power."

How in God's name did we get to this point?

When Iran starts a firestorm in the Middle East, what will President Obama
do -- blame the Bush administration?

This president is the ruination of America, and he has to go. I just pray
that by the time we get rid of him in 2012, it's not too late to restore
order.

* Iran promises to use nuclear weapons against Israel, so to allow Iran to
obtain nukes will be one of history's biggest mistakes.

We simply watch this world sponsor of terrorism go nuclear, while Obama and
the United Nations are more concerned with the Israelis building houses.

Preventing Iran from obtaining nukes will be hard, but easier than dealing
with nuclear-armed terrorists who see M.A.D. ("mutually assured
destruction") as a religious goal.
