NEW YORK – As WikiLeaks supporters single out Amazon.com as the latest target of an ongoing cyberwar, a controversial new book has surfaced on the site containing the diplomatic cables posted to WikiLeaks <http://www.foxnews.com/topics/politics/iraq/wikileaks.htm#r_src=ramp> . The cables were self-published as a Kindle <http://www.foxnews.com/topics/products/kindle.htm#r_src=ramp> e-book by an author listed as Heinz Duthel. People in the U.K. can buy it for 7.37 pounds ($11.60). WikiLeaks has embarrassed Washington in recent weeks for exposing a trove of sensitive diplomatic documents. WikiLeaks has been migrating around the world, using Internet companies in different countries to host the site. Last week, Amazon.com Inc. ousted it from its servers. Meanwhile, "Anonymous," a group who claimed responsibility for attacks on MasterCard, PayPal and Visa, announced the move to Target the bookseller on Twitter, writing, "Target: www.amazon.com locked on!!!" It also gave a link to instructions on how to attack the website. The attack was expected to come shortly after a spokesman for the group also told Sky News that Facebook could be the next target. The social networking site had deleted Facebook accounts used by Anonymous as well as groups it used to contact its supporters. Last month, Amazon came under fire for selling a guide offering advice to pedophiles, which raised questions about how -- and if -- it vets the self-published books it sells. Amazon did not immediately respond to a message. The Associated Press contributed to this report. <http://www.bandoo.com/wp/ie.php?plg=ie&ad2=153&subs=yahoo&elm=sign> http://triggers.wp.bandoo.com/signature_001.gif [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ -------------------------- Want to discuss this topic?
