Pirated Danish yacht, family anchor near Somalia The Associated Press Wednesday, March 2, 2011; 6:36 AM NAIROBI, Kenya -- Somali officials say a private yacht carrying a hijacked Danish family has anchored off the shore of Somalia and that the family has been moved to land. Yusuf Abdullahi Sanyare, the commissioner of the coastal village of Hafun, said Wednesday that the luxury sailboat anchored near Hafun on the northern tip of Somalia. Abdiaziz Mohamud Yusuf, the spokesman for a community group called the Puntland Peacemakers, also said the yacht had anchored. Yusuf said villagers told him the Danish couple, their three children and two crew members were taken ashore. A Somali pirate on Tuesday warned that any attack against the gang holding the Danes would result in the deaths of the hostages.
