More from the Religion of Peace. Instead of blaming a redneck preacher, how about we lay the blame where it belongs - the cavemen who support the lie!

Last Updated: Saturday, April 02, 2011 3:16 PM 1Share GAINESVILLE -- Over a dozen people were killed in Afghanistan during a pair of protests against a controversial Florida pastor who threatened to burn the Quran in 2010. According to an Afghan official, at least five people died after a crowd of hundreds of protesters turned violent Saturday in Kandahar, in southern Afghanistan. Dozens of others were hurt, but it was not immediately clear who killed and injured the protesters. Twelve people died in a similar protest on Friday outside a United Nations office in Mazar-i-Sharif, in northern Afghanistan. Witnesses said Friday's protest was originally peaceful, until some people grabbed guns from the U.N. guards and stormed into the building. Both protests condemned the Rev. Terry Jones, the Gainesville pastor who gained worldwide attention when he announced he would burn a copy of the Quran on the anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks. Jones backed off after international outcry, but his church has since claimed to have burned a copy of the Quran after putting Islam's holy book on a mock trial last week.
