Muslim desecrates Bible outside the gates of Catholic church. A Pakistani
Muslim wanted to get revenge on the Quran burning that occurred last month
<http://www.examiner.com/american-politics-in-vancouver/united-methodists-pr
omise-to-demolish-their-churches-each-time-a-quran-is-burned> under the
supervision of Florida pastor Terry Jones, so he decided to tear apart a
copy of the Bible as a crowd of Catholic worshippers attended a special mass
at Saint Anthony's Catholic Church. 24-year-old Akhtar Hussain had
originally wanted to go inside the church, which is located in Lahore, to
desecrate the Bible in front of the Catholics who were attending the special
mass. Hussain's motivation was the Jones Quran burning from last month, and
the young Muslim man wished to get even with Christians around the world.

I guess forgiveness is not really that widely practiced
<http://www.examiner.com/american-politics-in-vancouver/muslim-world-league-
launches-war-on-those-making-movie-on-mohammed-or-companions> in Islam as
it is in Christianity, huh? I'm just taking a wild stab in the dark here,
but it appears that revenge is stressed in the Islamic religion more than
anything else. Again, just a wild.stab.in the dark here, but last week, 1000
angry Muslim men killed a whole bunch of UN workers to avenge the Jones
Quran burning
<http://www.examiner.com/american-politics-in-vancouver/time-magazine-editor
-says-burning-quran-more-provocative-than-burning-bible> (even though that
happened in another country!!), but that must just be coincidence, right?
That doesn't establish a trend of vindictiveness running through the
mentality of Muslims, does it?! I must be bigoted for simply bringing up
that observation, I suppose.

The desecration of the Bible
<http://www.christianpost.com/news/muslim-desecrates-bible-in-pakistan-to-av
enge-quran-burning-49767/> outside the Catholic church in Lahore is
interesting for another reason besides the illustration of the "get-even"
mentality of some Muslims. It is an opportunity for Christians to set
themselves apart from Muslims in their response to such hostilities, but in
a positive way. I'm going to bet that not one Christian on God's green Earth
is going to retaliate against the Quran or any Muslim on the planet for
Hussain's Bible desecration. Call me crazy, call it just a hunch.but I think
that Christians are not into that
Let's-kill-30-or-so-UN-workers-to-get-revenge mentality, which the 1000
Muslim men displayed more than a week ago in retaliation to the Jones Quran
burning. I think this has to do with the fact that Christianity stresses to
its followers the principle of forgiveness and turning the other cheek.
Again.just going out on a limb here!!

After Hussain ripped the Bible he was carrying to pieces, the security
guards at the church detained him until they called the Pakistani version of
the boys in blue. It turns out that good old Pakistan actually has a law
against insulting someone's religion! Yeah! Can you believe it? Golly, I
thought they were a modern society full of open-minded tolerance and all
that.wait, I was thinking of Western countries. Never mind. Excuse me!
Hussain's Bible desecration actually violated Section 295-A of Pakistan's
Penal Code. For his wrathful actions, Hussain can actually face a prison
term of up to 10 years, but how much do you want to bet that desecrating a
Bible in Pakistan will probably get him nothing but a slap on the wrist (if
that). Of course, if a Quran had been desecrated, the perpetrator would
probably have been killed on the spot, never mind about Section 295-A of the
Pakistan Penal Code!

This episode just shows again what's wrong with Islam. In Bill O'Reilly's
words, it's the so-called "Muslim problem." Oh, yes it is. How many
Christians are being violated by Muslims all over the world today? Too many.
That's how many. Yet you never seem to hear about vengeful Christians going
after Muslims someplace.just because they're Muslims, do you? No, you don't.
