Time is about to prove that you can only hide behind the shadow of bin
Laden's corpse for so long

The already-beginning-to-fade Ballad of Obama Killed Osama

 - Judi McLeod Saturday, May 7, 2011

imageHardest to take about Obama and his destructive-to-the-US ways is how
he continues to invade every inch of your personal space.

Before even being elected as president, his pictures were plastered on every
lamp post; flickering at you from the evening news; in almost every magazine
and dominating tacky overseas souvenir stalls.

Next the Messiah stepped down from the pictures and gravitated toward his
top two constituencies, school children and Hollywood stars.

Like a conquering hero out of Roman times, the Messiah of Conceit and Deceit
basked in laurels and scattered rose petals all this week.

Crowds of the bread-and-circus variety lined the streets of New York as the
conquering hero's cavalcade made its way to Ground Zero, where, in the
irony of ironies, the same man who vociferously blamed 9/11 on poverty got
to lay a wreath on the sacrosanct site of the unwitting dead.

"Obama Killed Osama". If the message wasn't hammered home, non-believers of
their day and generations of youth will soon be swayed by pop cult T-shirts.
Obama Killed Osama even though it was the bullet of a courageous Navy SEAL
who took the terrorist down; while the man whose identity no one has been
able to prove, sat in the Situation Room still in his signature golf
clothes.

Missed in the tale telling that seems to get tackier by day, is that Obama
has tough competition in the braggadocio department: al Qaeda confirms the
death of its leader Osama bin Laden as a "historic moment" at the same time
vowing never to deviate from the path of armed struggle.

This is one camel even Obama can't milk forever.

Average Americans are pressing to force their congress and senate back to
the economy.

For the frustrated and depressed: The Obama/Osama Kill Legend is already
fading from headlines on Drudge.

Any still following Obama moves can read that the conquering hero returned
from Ground Zero to talk about important things like how you do not want to
be between Michelle and a tamale. This was the depth of his conversation
during a Cinco de Mayo celebration in the White House East Room.

Indeed tough guy Barry Soetoro has returned to the laps of Michelle, Oprah
and Valerie Jarrett, the sisterhood who run him

But back at the Ground Zero wreath-laying event, Obama's behaviour far away
from the maddening crowds was interesting when he was called out by the
courageous Debra Burlingame, co-founder of Keep America Safe and sister of
the pilot whose plane was crashed into the Pentagon on September 11.

"Rather than simply saying "I understand your concern about prosecuting CIA
agents and I will do what's best for the country (or whatever), Obama
brusquely says he's not going to discuss it and turns his back on her."
(Washington Post, May 6, 2011).

But it was back in the days when he was a meagre-in-attendance Illinois
state senator when Obama first turned his back on the victims of 9/11

While Obama continues to invade every inch of the personal space of average
people who don't want him there, reality is starting to invade his personal
space.

Even with a loud mainstream media cheering him on, the euphoria of playing
tough under the urban legend of "Obama Killed Osama" is beginning to fade.

Time is about to prove that you can only hide behind the shadow of bin
Laden's corpse for so long.
