Ivan Illich showed us the negative effects of "schooling" 30 years ago. This talk demonstrates the positive self-organizing process that learning is. The tension is building but schooling's self-interest and "teacher's" need to assume "control" is huge. The US assumes that school reform will bring its numbers back up. Its much more than that as Sugata Mitra suggests. The dam is cracking.
