Thanks Harrison, I looked it up and found some appreciative critiques of the book (in German). Apart from your contribution there also seems to be a good part on Theory-U, which seems also interesting. Thing about how to generate what you do not know is in itself an intriguing question indeed. I have ordered the book from Germany. It might take some time before I will finish (I am still reading Wave Rider), but I will let you know my findings. Finding the right question to generate all the unknown possibilities is indeed a challenging task. Dicky -- I'm sure Lisa will respond in good time and the response will be a good one. In the interim a short one from me. No difference. Having done a number of gatherings such as you describe, in my experience it is strictly "Business as Usual." And all the usual considerations apply like having a compelling invitation going to a diverse guest list, etc, etc. Harrison Ps -- I am not sure what "book" you might be referring to but you might be interested in something called "Management von Nichwissen in Unternehmen" edited by Andreas Zeuch and published by Carl-Auer in 2007. I contributed a chapter all about opening space for The Question -- which I take to be a critical element of knowledge generation. Needless to say the whole thing is in German (including my essay) -- and my German is so minimal that I can't tell you about the other essays/chapters, but I did enjoy thinking through my contribution. Maybe you would too?? Lisa, you mention a book about knowledge sharing Open Space or Open Space in university settings. In what aspects is it different from any other Open Space? I have been asked to facilitate a knowledge sharing event on healthcare. I'm having a discussion with them on them next Monday, so I am really interested to know from more experienced people what I should take into account when doing the open space on knowledge sharing.
