Hi Birgitt,
Although the design of the inquiry is not yet complete (the design
team is just forming now) this project is likely to be a 3-D process
only (Discovery, Dream, Design) with the idea that its function is to
launch/give birth to various initiatives but not to manage them.
The interviews, synthesis and meaning making are, as you know, all
part of Discovery. I love using an OST meeting for Design and I agree
that people are more likely to self-organize for action if they have
been focusing on what inspires them.

I wonder if the same people who are involved in the AI couldn’t have
a follow on OST meeting so that people could read the data and then
pick up on things that they wish to move into action, that they are
inspired by. I observe a lot more action from people following what
inspires them, than I do from a report that has synthesized
something down. However, what is done depends on the outcomes you
wish to achieve. Please say more.

The only one that I know would be Sensemaker, from Dave Snowden and
his Cynefin framework. Not Open Source though, not for free I guess,
and I'm not sure if you can use it as 'outsiders'.
Otherwise we could invent maybe something new? Then you would need
to invite Mary-Alice Arthur; master storyteller and co-inventor of
Collective Story Harvest.
