Thomas: You might glean some useful stuff from the archives from January when I was struggling with the same question around following up a community OS that I ran. There was some quite direct advice that saved my bacon.
There is a real challange for sponsors with money and power to be honest with those that don't have it and not simply try to use the OS for optics. I'm not suggesting that this will happen in this case, but it's worth preparing the sponsors for what they're getting themselves into by taking them through a very deep process of exploring the givens for the meeting. After that they should know what kind of space can be opened and what to tell the group about follow up. Good luck, and please let us know how it turns out.
