Dear all: A World Social Forum (Forum Social Mundial) will take place in Porto Alegre, state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil, from 25-30, January 2001.
NGOs, social movements and individual participants are expected from all over the world, but especially from South America and Africa. The forum will have plenary sessions in the mornings and many simultaneous workshops in the afternoons. The workshops may be proposed by any collective or individual participant. Wouldn't you think that this event could be a great opportunity to open the space there for people from the South that can make a good use of it? This would facilitate the "move to the South" that many of us would like to happen. Is anyone over there interest in doing that?
