Dear, Laura, I have done an Open Space with 6 people. Each person did a session, one following the other, It was very effective, and flowed together beautifully.. It was an enriching day, due to the great diversity of topics. Everyone really listened, was involved and participated fully with such small numbers. By the end of the day, everyone felt satisfied, content and full. While this was planned to be only a one day event, my sense is that the next day(s) could evolve into either a deeper level of discussion on the topics of Day 1, or plan other activities, such as hiking, touring, or exploring places relative to your theme, or " when it's over.....".
I appreciate your apprehension, but I think you could be pleasantly surprised!! The people who are coming are the right people and have a passion for the theme you have set.
