Michael-- I like the image of al-queda as jellyfish. They do sting--but the ones which wash up on my beach, out of their natural element, melt away in the sunshine. Not that I think the problem of terrorism is easily solved, but that the process of opening up and letting light shine on what is in the darkness (ours as well as theirs) might dissipate the element in which they can operate so efficiently.
