About This Program – Global learning Expedition
The program is organized in 3 parts and will be conducted and hosted by
Harrison Owen and colleagues from around the world. In Israel Tova Averbuch,
Avner Haramati and Harrison Owen facilitate this program. For more details see
website: www.openspaceworld.com . The program is designed to be experiential,
using Open Space technology most of the training.
Part I – Introduction to Open Space (took place in November 2001)
Part II: Open Space and Organizational Transformation This two-day learning
journey will be based Harrison Owen’s most recent book The Power of Spirit: How
Organizations Transform. We will inquire and reflect on the transformative
effect of Open Space in organizations and explore the challenges and
opportunities for organizational transformation.
Part III: Open Space and Leadership Organizations today are fast paced and
connected. This interactivity requires us to transcend traditional command and
control leadership approaches. of transformative change. We will explore the
challenges and opportunities for enhancing the qualities of leadership that are
required and also reflect on the changes in ongoing leadership after an Open
Space event. “The Spirit of Leadership”, Owen’s recent book will be a reference
point for this learning event.
- Workshop’s formal language is English: most written materials will
be in English; in situations that all of the participants and stuff are
Hebrew-speaking Hebrew can be the language.
Prerequisites:- Part II or III require having taken Part I
- Each part is grounded reading materials
allowing the fullest possible integration for participants: “User’s Guide”,
before part l ;” Power of the Spirit” before part ll.
Team
Harrison Owen. President of the consulting firm H.H. Owen and Co. His clients
have included Proctor and Gamble, Corning, Volvo, the Internal Revenue Service,
NIH and more. Owen is the creator of Open Space Technology and is author of 8
books on OST, organizational transformation and leadership. Worked, facilitated
and taught in 5 continents in the world. He has initiated this three-part
program, a new integrated and interactive learning journey, to be held in at
least 8 cities around the world. The first program was held in Toronto, in
February 2001. This is the first one in Israel.
Tova Averbuch. Senior Organizational Consultant .Studied OST in the USA,
practicing in Israel for two years and serves as an Israeli member of Harrison
Owen’s Global Learning Expedition. Practices OST in transformative OD
processes, “kick-off” for large scale change, large group gathering and
decision making in all sorts of organizations. Co-Founder of “Oganim”(anchors)
a center for spirit, profit and wellness in organizations.
Avner Haramati. Senior Organizational Consultant who studies OST abroad.
Practices OST in large-scale transformative strategic change, organizational
turn around and vitalization. Avner is a manager and partner in “Tmurot” and a
Co-Founder of “Oganim” (anchors) a center for spirit, profit and wellness in
organizations.
