Thank you for formulating it in such a clear way. This was more or less my impression in the situation there. And that is why I did not longer wait. I felt, that I could handle the situation and 'produce insights' by reducing the central ressource, 'time' , showing that there had not been nothing before and that there was still not nothing now. Well I had to accept that I could not hold the space at the same time. Looking back I 'see' (or explain to myself) that there had been a big hidden conflict between the central & the periphery (and the founders & the youngsters,...). But there is a more general problem, which I would like to clear: What would it mean for my work, if the 'big and unspoken issue in the center of the room' is something which all (+/-)the small african entrepreneurs share as a part of their cultural heritage which collides with the 'laws' of the modern market? So that they have really big problems to appreciate their own ressources? To put it into a drastic form to exemplify what I mean: What does ist mean for my work if they are unable to let the principle of community solidarity go? If they simply cannot 'conquer' their market attacking the concurrence because they want to stay in harmony. And as this does not seem to be possible, they prefer, perhaps, not to act, but to wait for somebody or something who or which can deal with such a contradiction. At the moment I can not get it clear in my head, and there are -evidently- counterexamples ... so lets see how things are going...
