Dee Hock, Founder and CEO Emeritus of VISA International and author of The Birth of The Chaordic Age, often predicts that it takes two years to complete a chaordic restructuring. The Girl Scouts - Arizona Cactus-Pine Council, Inc. pulled it off in eight months! "Artifacts of Hope - The Girl Scouts Go Chaordic" was written in February. Just two months later, after working on all levels within the organization, keeping the process open to the 9,000 adults that deliver services to girls, the "Structure Group" completed its new design and it was just ratified by the Delegates and Board of Directors at their Annual Meeting last Saturday!
