Open Space Technology Learning Workshop July 9-11 2002 in San Francisco, California, USA Facilitated by Lisa Heft Do you convene people for staff meetings, community gatherings, planning sessions, conferences or committees? Learn a simple process for bringing innovative thinking, high productivity, rich communication and collaboration into your work together. If you are interested in turning discussion into action, running a responsive, flexible and innovative organization, or leading a coalition and community building effort -- If you or your organization convenes meetings, conferences, work projects and discussions, Open Space Technology may be a perfect tool to use. The workshops for learning the method bring together those who are new to Open Space and those who have experienced it -- an opportunity to share your learning and understanding of the method and to prepare yourselves for facilitating your own Open Space. You'll spend 2.5 days developing a theme, preparing for the event, experiencing an Open Space, and learning how to design, prepare hosts or clients, coordinate and facilitate the meeting and help organizations or communities support the actions and momentum that come out of the meeting. This workshop will be offered in San Francisco: July 9-11, 2003 Wednesday 6:30pm to 9:30pm Thursday 8:30am to 5:00pm Optional: Informal social gathering for dinner at various locations around San Francisco. Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm Our programs are held at beautiful Fort Mason, a historic military garrison that now houses arts organizations, the world-famous Greens restaurant, reception facilities and more. Fort Mason is situated right on the San Francisco Bay, with stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island. The rest of San Francisco is just a bus or a taxi ride away. Come for a seminar and stay for a vacation in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area.
