For some years I have been a practioner of OST as a way of organizing work from inside in a powerfull way with ease and joy - and In parallel I have been using The Chaordic Model for actually the same thing ! But for some reason it wasn't before today, that a collegue and I actually did put the two ways of working together - something became one as a clikck of a switch. The group we were working with, where gathered around the purpose of building networks that could support them as leaders of growthcompanies. I was the spirit of network that made us introduce the chaordic way of thinking and working to them, and OS was the process that could make them realize their engagement and responsibility in this matter. We then decided to invite them to do the convergence in the chaordic model, and standing in the center looking at the princples just before setting the context and open space, I realized that OS and Chaordic to me seemed to be a pair of seperated twins, that now suddenly got together again - and they enjoyed and was enriched by eachothers company. One of my earliere wise teachers in organization always said that it was very simple ! - organizations only consists of two elements, prosesses and structure - change one or the other and it will effect the whole. I'm not sure that is was the truth of all truth, but it sounds promising, SO, maybe OST is the proces and maybe Chaordic is the structure that in combination holds the whole of divergence and convergence - if we are to find a way to organize ourselves more authenticly ???
