Dear Chris, Harrison, Birgitt, BJ Peters, Paul and you others in the list: grand discussion! More! Our intent with the 3 day international workshop using os-technology on "The InterActive Organisation" is to have a coming together of -members of organizations - from wherever they are in that organization - that are aiming at being more like the "InterActive Organisation" (see "The Power of Spirit", p.102pp) and -os-practitioners working for such organizations. My own interest is first of all to look them into their eyes. Then to explore (inquire) in whatever style (appreciative, non-appreciative, diagnostically.....) what all this means in the everyday life of organizations and in the everyday practice of os-facilitators working with such organizations. My own feeble mode of grasping what is going on in organizations ( the ones I am involved in, the ones that call me to facilitate os-events) centers around the forces of selforganization. I imagine that they exist in all organizations (otherwise the organizations would not exist) and thrive well if time and space are available for them as is usually seen when os-technology opens that window for an organization to have a glimpse at the creative chaos available to them. So, yes, I approach clients with the attitude that self-organization is, that there is no need to design the InterActive organization, that they have in the organization all varieties of styles (ReActive...Responsive..ProActive..InterActive...Inspired) present, that declaring it is what creates it....
