Viv-- Thanks so much for sharing your insights about three professional conferences (I'm feeling envious!). I really resonated with your thought that participants in these events are looking for their "tribe." OSonOS, for me, always feels like a tribal gathering--although there are always profound discussions, the biggest benefit is finding my extended family, or tribe.
Your comments about "Team Rhythm" reminds me of a group from Brighton, England, called Red Zebra. They travel to corporations, conferences and schools, bringing lots of drums and rhythm instruments. The teach groups to "form a community by listening to each other." In five to fifteen minutes, they will have any group drumming together--and sounding wonderful! They have enlivened several conferences I've been a part of.
