Sure - but what I was really thinking about is the circumstances in The DesignShop (or similar arrangements) where the Techies and Knowledge Workers are not part of the organization but rather hired hands from the outside. And of course, if the organization doing the Open Space already has the necessary expertise in-house - then they should probably be "full participants" from the beginning.
