Dear colleagues, day four of our training here in Ukraine took us into an open space facilitated by a team of participants under the theme I, Open Space facilitator. The group created 7 teams, all of them planning for the facilitation. One team won the lottery and frantically organized itself: selecting the sponsor, selecting the facilitator, setting up the break-out spaces, creating a report sheet, drawing up the schedule, designing the bulletin board you know all the details.
They ran it from 2 through 6 pm. The facilitator took 11 minutes for introducing OST. Participants posted 15 issues in 11 minutes and worked in three 1-hour time slots producing 14 reports. Shortly after break-out sessions started the facilitation team met with us for a first feedback and offered them more time later in the day if they wanted which resulted in an invitation for us in the evening Which turned into a very intensive 1-hour learning experience for all of us , parts of it they already shared with the list. Evening News was also used for sharing some ideas on how to continue their journey after the training event: Ukrainian Listserv and Ukrainian OS website. This morning all 7 teams for a feedback session. The chosen facilitation team reflected on their collaboration the other 6 teams each prepared a feedback for the facilitation team. In the plenary session each team shared one thing they really liked and offered one recommendation. This session was characterized by intensive listening. After this interruption the teams gathered again and got into designing the Action Planning and are busy doing that now giving us a little break to send you this. Greetings from a warm and sunny summer day in the Ukrainian forest Michael and Jo P.S. Last night at the bar among heavy drinking and dancing plans took shape to have the second part of the training (a three day learning exchange) in November on the Crimean peninsula. * * ========================================================== osl...@listserv.boisestate.edu ------------------------------ To subscribe, unsubscribe, change your options, view the archives of osl...@listserv.boisestate.edu: http://listserv.boisestate.edu/archives/oslist.html To learn about OpenSpaceEmailLists and OSLIST FAQs: http://www.openspaceworld.org/oslist
