Hello, Craig, Your question about viruses in organizations is one that Systems Theory, as treated by Murray Bowen, Edwin Friedman, and Peter Steinke, addresses. The first answer is to work on the system's "immune system". This is the leadership of the system. If they manage/control/limit their own reactivity to perverse stimuli the larger system will not react either. That is, the "virus" will not be able to infect or replicate. The second answer is to expel the "virus". There are a number of techniques for doing that kindly, but obviously, this is a drastic measure, since there is always a possibility that this "virus" contains the only truly sane or healthy DNA in the system. As in, what if there had not been a "Deep Throat"? Jim
