I'm curious -- is YMCA membership a matter of money (they might charge less or
nothing) or personal identity? If the former, I would be pretty sure that
someone somewhere whould be willing to help -- and actually there are some
pretty good folks in RSA. If it is a matter of personal identity -- personally
I have found that there can be a real advantage if the facilitator is not a
member of the group. That way there is less likelyhood that the facilitator
will get hung up on the issues, or even appear to be hung up on the issues --
leaving him/her to the major task of creating and holding space.

Subject: Who is Open Space Facilitator and member of YMCA?

"Ubuntu, striving together for life and peace" is the topic of the next
World Council of YMCA. The conference will take place in Durban, South Africa
from 10-15 July. 600-800 members are expected from all over the world.

In addition to the traditional ceremonies, services, elections etc. it
is planned to include the participants more actively, in particular about the
issues Movement Strengthening with the three pillars Mission Clarity, Social
Relevance and Institutional Viability. It is planned to use Open Space and
Appreciative Inquiry as key-methods.

The World Alliance of YMCAs wants to organize this conference with as
much internal resources as possible. Because it is not simple for the World
Alliance of YMCAs in Geneva to find OS and AI facilitators worldwide, I am
using this list to ask you:

Is someone of you member of YMCA and experienced OS or AI facilitator
(in English language)?

Or does someone of the list know someone, who is? Or does someone know
someone, who knows someone...? (One says, that one reaches everybody in the
world over 7 stages...: -)

        Cordial thanks for each tip!

        Greetings from Switzerland
