Dear OSLIST Members,

Time for signing up!!! A new OS event will take place in Budapest from October 28-30th.

Becoming InterActive
Conference in Open Space
Budapest

You are invited to join a group of people working with or within organizations and interested in self organizing, evolving order and the development of organizations and communities meeting in Open Space on

BeComing InterActive
Structures, values & flow of life in organizations & communities

In our three-day gathering from 2 pm on Friday, October 28 through 1 pm on Sunday, October 30, 2005, we will explore and gain insight on living and thriving in interactive organisations and communities. We will experience the possibilities of learning constantly and how to simultaneously play and work productively.

The term
"InterActive organization and community" may sound strange to many of us. But in fact, all organizations already are InterActive, or in other words: self-organizing. During the meeting we will explore these strange shores. We will look at the reality in our organizations and communities as complex adaptive systems and how to sustain these vital processes.

Open Space Technology will enable us to create our Agenda spontaneously together around "BeComing InterActive". Open Space Technology is a self organizing process originally designed by Harrison Owen which allows organizations, groups and communities to gather around issues that matter to them, with high levels of dialogue, passion and commitment to action. "Open Space, eliminates the spirit of inferiority. The playing field is leveled. We're all equal. Each of us are learning, one from another. With Open Space, there are no ideas that remain hidden or unspoken. Everything emerges. I can't imagine that there could be a better method for enabling a group to discover its potential." (John Engle, Open Space facilitator)
