Here is a project suggestion for you : the OSTlisters, OST Facilitators, OST funs, Consultants, anybody Those who need futher explanation about what is an IOA can check the Power of Spirit Book of Harrison. or they can share their definition or stories...( such as "Improbable Principles" that Phelim had written here once) ( Harrison, i was telling about OST and you to a public rekations company here, they didin't like the fact that i was calling you Harrisoni they found it too informal..but i keep saying like that ) My plan is to organize a series of OST meetings around these issues; I am also writing the teams that i thought, please don't get offended if yr name is or is not there, this is just names in my mind, you can add or delete your name. 1- Religions, Cultures and Organization : how cultures and religions affected the way we organize ourselves? Harrison, Yawar, Eva, Karolina, Funda 2- Countries, Nationalities and Organizations (???) , Citizen Participation Juan Luis, Jo, Juliana, Constanza, Marina 3- How organizations affect our mind and bodies and vica versa , health and IAO, body as an IAO Marei, Begum, Gail, Richard, Chris 4- Why we can not be an IAO? what are the obstacles? physchological ( fears, emotions?, our need for security ), physical ( walls, conflict of interests) 5- Relationships : gender issues, history, stories Mia, Funda 6- Family as an organization? How we bring up our children, IA ??? 7- Organizations and power, organizations and money issues, distribution of health, accounting in an IAO Holger, Lisa, Therese, Esther ( was it you who was coming to Istanbul with your husband who ws accountant?) 8- IAO and MIS ( Gabriela Ender) 9- Art and IAO (stage, exhibitions) ( Phelim and my favorite theater group here) 10-City plans, architecture 12- Judicial System as an IAO? ( Juliane Adler, Begum) 13- Power Authorities as an IAO? 14- Education system as an IAO ( Karolina, her school in Poland and my school in Istanbul ) So officially it can be something like 5 days with 5 themes and unofficially it can be a life long event. The venue place in my mind is Ciragan Kempinsky Hotel; the best hotel in Istanbul, on the bosphorus an old palace that is an hotel now (Michael and Jo, i will take you there when you come, we will have a dinner there, as i promissed a dinner on the bosphorus to Jo 2 2 years ago, they have vegeterian and everything) Everybody now, So what do you think? can we make a dish together? can we gather enough money? interest?, can we join our efforts for that? Would you help me with the wording of this project? Can we put all these in a better format ? It was a great experience as already language helped me to stay out of the issues and the community and i was happy with that. Juliane was a wonderful facilitator; perfectly invisible but present to observe and hear everything, people actually thought that she was a butterfly or an assistant. Mia, another colleague in our team was also wonderful. She was very experienced in OST organizations yet she made everything so easy and fun for me. She didn't forget to translate me what was going on despite the work load, they both made me feel part of the team, cooperating with me, listenining to my questions, making time and space to answer them. And all the Boscop members made me feel at home and welcomed whenever needed. So i especially want to thank to Juliane Neumann and Mia Konstantinidou as team members, and then Juliane Adler and Michael Pannwitz (the junior) as organizers and all the boscop members ( Michael -the senior); Jo, Yaari, Anna, and all the participants some of them i knew from POP Berlin, some were i met for the first time...) for giving me this first opportunity to work professionally at an OST meeting and to make even some money out of something that i love and enjoy so much. Berlin is a beautiful colorful ciy, hosting many cultures and societies. An unforgottable experience for me was a self organized, spontaneous dinner where it suddenly happened that we were 4 people around a table, eating italian dish, drinking italian wine, listening to turkish music and each talking different languages at the same time (english, german, spanish and italian), yet we were able to make jokes, understand each other and laugh. I also had a chance to meet different people who work a lot with OST. A lot of OST work going on Europe and I didn't know that. So please i kindly ask to hear more european OST experiences on the list, they are crucial for me as examples and they give me some ideas about integrating somethings from here to some of them or vice versa. Please don't think only about bombs and terrorists, we have so many things to offer;like music, food, dances, fun, laughter, love, brotherhood, cooperation etc....( i don't know why i needed to tell this but i wanted to mention) 2nd what we are doing here now When it comes to the dish we will cook here, these are the steps already taken; 1) here is the web site in turkish; www.acikalanteknolojisi.com I also have some pictures of our daily life where you can see that some of it is already naturally organized as OST, they are not there yet but they will be included very soon. 2) we set up a team of 4 women for the time being; Filiz, me, Sirin ( she is an arcitect very active in Greeanpeace ), Begum (she is a lawyer and first woman rally champion in Turkey) 4 of us will be there in the last page of the web site, there is only me for now. 3) Michael Pannwitz ( the senior) and Jo are coming to visit us in february 4) We will organize an international training with them in may 5) IAO conference in October or November 2006 in Istanbul for which i had very insprining meetings and conversations in Berlin. Now before i tell you more about my dreams and projects; i would like to invite Yawar, Karolina, Sirin and Begum to subscribe to the list.
