Dear Doug,

You should be able to get a cheaper ticket than that, especially if you're willing to use some more travelling time. Like, flying from Chicago rather than Indianapolis, or flying through a European capital. Like, I checked Copenhagen-Moscow and , London-Moscow, and these seem all to be 250-300 $. Chicago-Copenhagen is double that, so the total is less than 1000 US.
