Dear colleagues,
you ever heard of Nikoli Frederik Severin Grundtvig (1783-1872)?
Well, he had some pretty revolutionary ideas about education, life long learning, active participation of citizens in public life and was convinced that teaching should be based on real-life experiences and not abstract matters.
Sounds familiar?
The European Commission named one of its Programs after him (he is considered the father of the Nordic folk high schools). It is under this Grundtvig Program that individual training grants of up to 1500 Euros (about 1800 US Dollars) are provided for participants of the training living in a country belonging to the European Union (plus Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey, Island, Liechtenstein and Norway).
That makes it affordable to everyone from those places.
But its open for anyone!

You will find all the details there.

Come yourself and/or spread the word.

This training has evolved out of the experience of 20 trainings over the last 8 years incorporating 3 open space events in the training itself to experience yourself as participant, reflect on that experience and the methodology and then actually design and carry out an open space event. Its 98 percent hands on, selforganized doing and learning, right: open space.

In the first few days people from Latvia, Poland, Estonia, Turkey, N Ireland, Ukraine and UK have already signed in. Dont worry, there is enough space...the facility will easily hold 60 participants and then some...however, there is a sort of a rush.

Greetings from Berlin
