Actually Raffi -- you have it mostly right. OST is Sociodrama without all the work :-) And when it comes to my extensive NTL Training and Analytic stuff -- Oh Well. Truth is I was never part of NTL (they wouldn't let me in) and as far as analytics goes -- I did have my head shrunk at one point, but I don't think that is what they are talking about.

Yes, I have the blue book, and only after more careful perusal did I realize that Barbara Bunker and Billie Alban probably by emphasizing Harrison's NTL and analytical training did not quite get it right. Maybe a project at the OSonOS would be to collectively draw a new family tree of lgit's (large group intervention tools)? Or based on the overwhelming number of tools that can be called lgit's, maybe this is a thankless endeavor? (see http://listserv.boisestate.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A2=ind0605&L=oslist&P=5688 ) The authors of the paper referred to in this message even after extensive work, admit their list of lgit's is incomplete. As for people getting or not getting something, on a related note, I was asked to preside as an external examiner for a certification of a sociodramatist here. This was my second opportunity to learn more about this approach, ostensibly also an lgit. And after a full day of watching two sociodrama interventions, I still left scratching my head. I did not understand it and found myself rather disengaged. Nor did I have any curiosity to learn more about it. And yet, I know some here who think it is a key vehicle for facilitating organizational health! It helped me understand why OST may not necessarily be accessible or understandable to others. Sometimes it takes time for people to get things. Maybe some day I'll get sociodrama. I think the presiding examiner was a little nonplussed when I suggested that sociodrama involved too much work. raffi * * ========================================================== osl...@listserv.boisestate.edu ------------------------------ To subscribe, unsubscribe, change your options, view the archives of osl...@listserv.boisestate.edu: http://listserv.boisestate.edu/archives/oslist.html To learn about OpenSpaceEmailLists and OSLIST FAQs: http://www.openspaceworld.org/oslist * * ========================================================== osl...@listserv.boisestate.edu ------------------------------ To subscribe, unsubscribe, change your options, view the archives of osl...@listserv.boisestate.edu: http://listserv.boisestate.edu/archives/oslist.html To learn about OpenSpaceEmailLists and OSLIST FAQs: http://www.openspaceworld.org/oslist
