I do believe the "mystery of Open Space" depends on the worldview of the
person experiencing it.  So, there are lots of mysteries.  Some see it
as pure magic that what happens could even happen.  Some, who are
becoming well versed in Complex Adaptive Systems Theory, see no "magic"
at all.  Just the working out of complex systems which self-organize.
It is all explainable with the theory -- which a lot of it is.  So for
some of them I've talked with, its no big deal and in fact is just what
complex systems do and they would rather think they can now shape or
prod them systems with other approaches over which they have more
"control".  For some social network theory gives some evidence and
explanation of what happens.  For some, the ability to allow the
emergence of spirit and new collective consciousness blows them away.
Not everyone is ready to see/feel that enough to reflect on what was
just learned.  What is a "mystery" is based on how you interpret your
experience.
