And by the way - Lisa - WHO is this "other colleague?" Some secret lurker? An agent for the CIA? KGB? Throw off the covers! Bring them online!! Who knows, they might even enjoy it??? And I am sure we would, as well :-)

That's a great example. Here, folks, are some other things I have collected in my file of who has done OS where and for what - regarding health and health education institutions.(and thank you for adding to this): Chris Corrigan wrote of his work at University of British Columbia Working with the coordinator of health sciences, bringing 30 people from across the health spectrum together to form a new College of Health Sciences Larry Peterson shared his experience with Faculties of Education and Opthamology (among other areas) at York University, and with researchers focusing on cancer, others focusing on obesity and the various disciplines required to address that issue. And I myself have done OS with doctors, nurses, educators and activists sharing knowledge, challenges and best practices regarding HIV/AIDS (at the International AIDS Conferences) and San Francisco State University's Institute for Holistic Healing Studies - where students and faculty explored opportunities and issues and areas of learning they wish to include in their programs. Now I am working with a partnership of university-based clinicians and researchers seeking to improve information and practice for pain management of prison inmates - we will be using Open Space for knowledge / challenges / best practices / skills exchange and networking amongst the clinician staff of the 9 prisons involved in this program (and also holding talking circles with inmates if we can to inform this study - the closest thing to OS I can get into prison at this time..) I look forward to hearing more examples from you, and thank you everyone, I will pass them on to this other colleague, Lisa ___________________________ L i s a H e f t Consultant, Facilitator, Educator O p e n i n g S p a c e <mailto:[email protected]> [email protected] <http://www.openingspace.net> www.openingspace.net -----Original Message----- From: Harrison Owen [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, December 14, 2006 12:42 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: OS with university dental-medical school clinicians+faculty Anne Stadler did a mess of stuff with Health Care Systems, and one of the actions showed up in the B-K At Work Series. She is looking for examples of OS being used for such folks. Perhaps you have had experience with some or all of these or a combination - a teaching institution in the field of medicine or specifically the field of dentistry. You know how sometimes a client wants to hear that someone exactly like them has used OS - I think that's why she's looking for this. Thanks for sharing your experiences here on the list, and I shall collect them and pass them on to her (and also use them to build my slowly-as-I-go-but-growing resource for you all to share on how OS is used by whom). >From a rainy Berkeley, California, USA, Lisa ___________________________ L i s a H e f t Consultant, Facilitator, Educator O p e n i n g S p a c e <mailto:[email protected]> [email protected] <http://www.openingspace.net> www.openingspace.net * * ========================================================== [email protected] ------------------------------ To subscribe, unsubscribe, change your options, view the archives of [email protected]: http://listserv.boisestate.edu/archives/oslist.html To learn about OpenSpaceEmailLists and OSLIST FAQs: http://www.openspaceworld.org/oslist * * ========================================================== [email protected] ------------------------------ To subscribe, unsubscribe, change your options, view the archives of [email protected]: http://listserv.boisestate.edu/archives/oslist.html To learn about OpenSpaceEmailLists and OSLIST FAQs: http://www.openspaceworld.org/oslist * * ========================================================== [email protected] ------------------------------ To subscribe, unsubscribe, change your options, view the archives of [email protected]: http://listserv.boisestate.edu/archives/oslist.html To learn about OpenSpaceEmailLists and OSLIST FAQs: http://www.openspaceworld.org/oslist
