_____ From: OSLIST [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Lisa Heft Sent: Wednesday, June 20, 2007 12:20 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Glossary of Open Space words and phrases Hello, dear colleagues - Conrad's inquiry reminded me to check out (for updates and errors) the Glossary of Open Space words and phrases I have on my website - it is there as a resource for you all to use. When I checked it out I saw that for some reason the Arabic phrases were not online (a problem with the link) and so now I have fixed that. When you open up any word for translation into Arabic you will see an entire sheet of words artfully translated by our lovely Carol Daniel Kasbari. Some of you have sent me great translations - and I see we do not have all the words on the list translated so Tova (who has thoughtfully translated many of the terms into Hebrew) perhaps we can check in together whenever you have some time to see what words can be added. Lovely Artur - for some reason I do not have on file your Portuguese translations (oh no I am so sorry if you did deliver these to me at one time - though I remember us talking about it) - I do have your Brazilian Portuguese translations for several phrases in the Glossary. If any of you feels you would like to either add a language or if you see your own language on this Glossary is missing a few words - I have a glossary translation worksheet I can send to you - and thank you so much for your help and good work on this. One thing that is not apparent when you look at this glossary - if you click on the English word or phrase you get a definition of the word or phrase If anyone wants to start going through those definitions to translate them into their own language I can add that to this site also - let me know and I can give you a worksheet for that, as well. If I have missed anything any of you has sent me please remind me and we can find that again so I can include it in this glossary for us all to use. My life has been a bit full lately and so some time has passed since some of us have shared new words and phases for this resource. And if any of you translate for new languages for the work you do around the world, please consider sending me those translations -with- (ideally) the name of the translator and their email as well, so these translations can be properly sourced. Here again is a link to the Glossary of Open Space Technology Terms. Enjoy, share, contact me if you want to help it to grow, and thank you so much for all your hard and thoughtful work so far, http://www.openingspace.net/glossary.shtml Lisa ___________________________ L i s a H e f t Consultant, Facilitator, Educator O p e n i n g S p a c e <mailto:[email protected]> [email protected] <http://www.openingspace.net> www.openingspace.net * * ========================================================== [email protected] ------------------------------ To subscribe, unsubscribe, change your options, view the archives of [email protected]: http://listserv.boisestate.edu/archives/oslist.html To learn about OpenSpaceEmailLists and OSLIST FAQs: http://www.openspaceworld.org/oslist * * ========================================================== [email protected] ------------------------------ To subscribe, unsubscribe, change your options, view the archives of [email protected]: http://listserv.boisestate.edu/archives/oslist.html To learn about OpenSpaceEmailLists and OSLIST FAQs: http://www.openspaceworld.org/oslist
