Hi Michael,
Your reminder to Park, reminded me to update my profile. However,
when I got to the map, I couldn't see how to change it. Do you have
some advice on that?
I appreciate you for creating and maintaining the worldmap. I feel
more connected because of it. :-)
Diana
PS I thought I already had paid my fee this year, but then I got
worried that maybe I hadn't. So I've paid again. If I've paid double,
it's worth it, and I'm happy to contribute to support WOSonOS.

Dear Park,
just in case others face similar hurdles, I am sending this
response to the OSLIST, too.
Here is how it works:
First, you go to
http://www.openspaceworldmap.org/
That shows you our planet flattened out on your screen with all the
"open space" countries shown in blue...there are not that many
places left that are not blue.
Second, click on "MENU" at the bottom of the map.
Third, you might look at several of the things under MENU (such as
Stammtisch, the next one is scheduled for July 2nd in dozends of
places around the globe, also in Hong Kong)
but
to include yourself, click on
"WANT TO INCLUDE YOURSELF"
which opens up the inclusion form.
Its available both in English and German (Germany with 114
colleagues listed appears to be the place where osnicks really lurk
behind every corner)
You might want to stick to English.
Fourth, fill in the form, dont forget to upload a picture
and hit the button "Send form!".
Bingo,
instantly I get an email with the inclusion form (also, my
webmaster and Daniel, my youngest, just in case I am away, either
one of them will transfer your data to the world map, usually I do
it).
Once I transferred the data, I send you an email...in which I might
also point out that this or that is not complete or that the
resolution of the photo is too low...
You will also be asked by the program to pay the inclusion fee but
you are included right away regardless of whether the inclusion fee
has arrived. In time, I might remind you to pay it.
Now, if you or anyone else on the list needs further pointers, just
contact me.
In the meantime, all of you in the OSLIST not yet included are
invited to include yourself in the map...it not only shows who is
working where (increasingly people tell me that they receive
inquiries via the map which just shows that it is being used by
people interested in os) but it also has a nice benefit for
spreading open space: surpluses are used for instance to support
WOSonOS or trainings (see my earlier mail on the training in Serbia)
Have a great day,
Greeting from Berlin
