John, Thank you much for this story and for stretching my own thinking about what is essential to Open Space Technology and its form.
The podcast sounds sexy, sexy enough to get people excited about this open space space. And perhaps it takes the place of an opening circle. Maybe a later iteration of that same podcast could hint at the circle, inviting group wisdom, and inviting presence. Perhaps some questions to consider are: - By dropping the formal opening what is different about how people are invited into the space? How are they invited to show up? - Will there be any handouts in print (and other?) form available so that participants can get a feel for the full picture of the open space and to give deeper voice to the invitation here? You'll be holding the space- that's what's important, perhaps. Are you a heretic? Perhaps a fairer question might be who on this list isn't a heretic?! It sounds, though, like this would work quite well. Thanks! appreciatively (and until July?), raffi * * ========================================================== osl...@listserv.boisestate.edu ------------------------------ To subscribe, unsubscribe, change your options, view the archives of osl...@listserv.boisestate.edu: http://listserv.boisestate.edu/archives/oslist.html To learn about OpenSpaceEmailLists and OSLIST FAQs: http://www.openspaceworld.org/oslist
