I received this request for facilitators and wanted to share it with the Open Space community.

I am still having trouble getting on the list. Murli said I was on it but I've not received anything yet.

Soo, I will continue to work on that, but wanted to get this message out to the open space community. Will you share it with the list? It promises to be an exciting and worthy project. Carolyn Lukensmyer, an inspired woman/facilitator/organizer/advocate is the founder of America Speaks.

I am forwarding the facilitator request for the AmericaSpeaks Sept. 6 meeting. The project is called, Equal Voices for American Families. It will be a very exciting event,satellite connecting 10 - 13,000 poor families who will be developing a platform around what this country can do tostrengthen families to create strong communities. The three meetings will be in Chicago, Birmingham Alabama and Los Angeles. Sue and I will be in LA.

Mayra, I was thinking you still have some connections in Chicago with Allstate. This will be a very exciting meeting - not at all like the small one we facilitated in Cleveland!

Kathleen, thanks for offering to post this on the Open Space list.

Erika - hope you can join us. It will be an amazing experience! I'll let you know as soon as we hear where the meeting will be held. I know LA is a huge city.

Dear Associates & Prospects,

Many of you have probably heard that AmericaSpeakswill be working with the Marguerite Casey Foundation’sEqual Voice for America’s FamiliesCampaign. They have launched an extraordinary effort to bring the collective voices of low-income families to the table including traditional town meetings in 63 cities across the country.

The next important step inEqual Voice for America's Familiesis a National Convention to be held in three cities on September 6th. There will be more than 3,000 people inBirmingham,Alabama;Chicago, andLos Angeles- a total of more than 9,000 participants! We will need to recruit at least 300 table facilitators in each of those cities. This is an historic opportunity to help build a community of low-income families across the nation that will develop an action plan going forward.

Recruiting 900 facilitators in less than a month is a significant challenge! Please help AmericaSpeaksby taking the time today to spread word about this opportunity to any of your networks, colleagues, clients, and friends who might like to facilitate or who can help reach others who might consider facilitating.

There are three ways you can help us reach our goal of 900 facilitators:

2.      Send the attached short description of the project and the key recruitment facts as an email to anyone or any organization you know that might be interested in facilitating
