Hello, Brett - I use OS here in Asheville NC (and all over the place for the last 10 years or so...) in support of sustainability initiatives - most recently last night related to 'Property Assessed Clean Energy <http://www.renewfund.com/pace/definition-history>(PACE)' which is being implemented by the City and County governments - a fairly new development enabled by the state legislature. It's being implemented in a dozen or so states. Here also are links to two regional OS sessions I facilitated in the past: the first with a theme of "Regional Collaboration and Action for Sustainability" <http://sustainablewnc.org/sam/sam.php?sesno=0> (2007) and the second "Urban Environmental Design for Community Sustainability"<http://sustainablewnc.org/ued/ued.php>. Both fostered remarkable partnerships, organizations and collaborations between local and regional government, higher ed, business, NGOs, etc. (no surprise there...).
