No direct experience although I have been advocating it as a process to sort out the politicians expenses fiasco here in the UK. Sadly my suggestions fell on deaf ears. But this is a great initiative and I wish you well. (Of course, I would love to know which political party have decided to deploy Open Space in the way that you describe...!) I suspect that warming people up to the process will help there may well be quite a few fragile political egos which might get bruised!
