Dear Artur, dear Lisa, dear "ostlisters"... first of all I´d like to make it clear that CONSP!RING EUTOKIA, the mid-day OS event we are talking about will be taking place NEXT FRIDAY, 19th of November 2010 in BIbao (more info here: http://ttiki.com/19593).
ARTUR, reading your message, and as you know a quite much about our country, reinforced my intention to use both languages. Thanks a lot! About passion, I find that it´s something very common in this list, and something viral, that one can´t avoid picking if comes around here frequently :-)! See you soon! LISA, great advice, once more! I also prefer it an oral presentation. The message you suggest is clear and concise, yes. If this is somehow slow I´ll do it myself and as I´m meeting the sponsor tomorrow, I´ll also try to grant staff support for welcoming people. You really show good knowledge about the Basque language situation (or the way many people here -and myself- see it). Regarding the reporting as it is the sponsor´s request to have this experimental collective mind map done during the event, I´ll opt for both helping the making of the big mind map (but mainly in the pre-work) and inviting the making of the report. Myself I´ll get centered in opening, holding and closing space during the event, facilitate the traditional report making, and see what happens. We´ll have hand notes and I´ll suggest scannig, leaving a laptop where people are invited to write thier email adress and sending the report just as the event closes. I know that having the report on hand to read eagerly during the train back home would be a great point, but I´m not sure we´ll be able to grant it... Silly selling: that´s it, people feel our enthusiasm and gets a 'feel'. Regarding price, I think that flexibility is a good adviser. Besides, fixing the just price is kind of impossible (and a big responsibility, isn´t it?) and depends on so many circumstances... I´m experiencing with seeing it as a game and, as I infer from your words, as a dialogue. We can always say no if we don´t agree with or mistrust the client (that would really mean that this OS should not get held, isn´t it?). Thanks again for your support, Lisa. I miss you too, and I´m sure we´ll share this glass of some fabulous local wine and watch the waves in Mundaka or somewhere else one day. Remember the anecdote on Sunday after Wosonos 2010 in the Berlin metro station? Why not? In the meanwhile take a look at this photos (http://ttiki.com/19592) taken last week in this lovely spring! You´ll have always a place "chêz nous", Lisa, Artur, Michael and rest of wave riders!
