Hi All

Interesting thread on using OS to deal with conflict. I guess when
people open space and enter it there is plenty of room to explore
possibilities. When you allow possibilities to emerge, those fixed
positions which cause conflict start to unwind. After all, people are
co-creating and finding new and different ways which make those
conflicts look pretty jaded and petty in comparison.

I once did an event with different black communities in Glasgow. After
doing good work together, they steadfastly refused to vote on priorities
because they did not want to "dis" one recommendation over another. So,
we declared everything was equal and a priority.

Be prepared to be flexible!

Hope you will be coming to WOSONOS in London on 11 through 14 October.
Not only will it be Worlds XX, but there are going to be surprises and
delights, because the artistic folks at Improbable are cooking away.

For example, there will be a cocktail reception in the Southbank Centre
overlooking the Palaces of Westminister and the London Eye in a room
donated by the Centre's Chief Executive who is a fan of Open Space.

So be there or be square!

Cheers

Kerry
